WasteTrack - RFID Based Solid Waste Management

Maintenance of solid municipal waste (MSW) is essential to maintain our environment green. It is needed to track each vehicle, Vehicle Capacity, Vehicle Efficiency, waste type, Ward waste capacity which helps in the analytics and is helpful to make the system efficient by utilizing the resources in efficient manner. Functioning of WasteTrack:

Tagging : Mapping user and vehicle with rfid tags.

Weight Capturing : In weight and out weight of vehicle captured automatically to get accurate net weight of waste with time and other parameters.

Data Synchronization : Data is synchronized with server with in 5 min or when internet is available to maintain the availability of updated data.

MIS Reports : MIS Reports with different filters and charts can be generated by web application in the scope of network.

Process Flow of WasteTrack:

• Tag is issued to the vehicle at the time of registration at Transfer station and that tag is pasted on the windshield of the vehicle from inside for safety.
• Traffic Light and the Siren Installed at each transfer station will guide the driver to make the system more accurate with improved efficiency
  Green Light: Vehicle can come on Weighbridge for weight.
  Red Light: Vehicle has to weight on weighbridge until its red.
  Yellow Light with Buzzer: Vehicle has to leave the weighbridge.
  
• RFID reader identifies the vehicle, when vehicle comes near weighbridge by rfid tag pasted on its windshield and then application gives the instruction to controller to turn red.
• Application records saturated weight from weighbridge after identification and give instruction to controller to trigger the buzzer to buzz and traffic light to turn yellow.
• After saving all the data to local storage, so that removes the dependency on internet connectivity.
• As the data get saved, application sends the instruction to controller to turn on the green light.
• Then data synchronization takes place with server, to maintain the availability of data for reports from anywhere at any time using web application in the scope of network.

MIS Report for WasteTrack:

• Monthly, weekly and daily basis reports and charts can be generated by web App and can be exported to Excel and Pdf.
• Web based application user interface is made available to the user.
• User can create and retrieve data to and from the central database, depending on his/her access rights.
• Managing accessibility to information of different types of users by administrator.

Benefits of Traffic Lights and buzzer:

• Green Light will signify the vehicle can go on weighbridge.
• Red Light will signify that vehicle is sensed by reader and application is taking the weight, it has to wait on weighbridge.
• Yellow Light with Buzzer will signify that Weight is taken by software and it can leave the weight bridge.
• After Yellow Light when Green Light Lighten Up then next vehicle can go on weighbridge.
